John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh starrer action-thriller film ‘Vedaa’ was released in theatres on 15 August. Despite clashing with big films like ‘Stree 2’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ at the box office, ‘Vedaa’ had a good opening. But now the collection of the film is decreasing day by day. So let’s know how many crores ‘Veda’ has collected so far.
The film “Vedaa” starring John Abraham and directed by Nikkhil Advani did not perform as expected till its fourth day at the box office. The action drama film, which was released on August 15, 2024, raises intense issues like caste discrimination. The film also stars Sharvari and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles along with John Abraham. The film had a good opening but failed to maintain its initial momentum.
By the end of its first weekend, “Vedaa” collected a total of around ₹11.07 crore. The film had a good opening of ₹6.3 crore on the first day, but there was a huge drop in the collections on the second day and it was reduced to ₹1.8 crore. The collections improved slightly on the third day and reached ₹2.45 crore, but according to early reports on the fourth day, the collections remained around ₹0.52 crore. According to industry experts, the fourth-day total could be between ₹2-3 crore once all the figures are in.

John Abraham starrer “Vedaa” has completed its first four days at the box office with a total of Rs 13.2 crore in India. However, the film’s performance has been disappointing so far, especially considering the star power and expectations attached to it.
On the fourth day, “Vedaa” earned around Rs 2.7 crore, taking the total collection to Rs 13.2 crore across all languages. The fourth-day collection, despite being better than the last few days, was not enough to make a big difference for the film. The total Hindi occupancy for the film on Sunday, August 18, 2024, was recorded at 25.33%, indicating modest interest levels among the audience.
“Vedaa” has received mixed reviews from critics. While the film’s performances have been appreciated, its pace and depth of plot have been questioned. John Abraham plays an ex-army officer, while Sharvari plays a young woman challenging caste barriers. Both these characters are being seen as the film’s strength. However, the film’s script has faced criticism for not fully developing these complex themes.
“Vedaa” is produced in association with Zee Studios, Emme Entertainment and JA Entertainment. It was released in a competitive slot with other major films, which may have affected its box office performance.
