The film was released in theatres on September 5. According to a report by Saccanilk, the much-awaited spy thriller has earned over Rs 50 crore on its first day in India. Thalapathy Vijay’s “GOAT” (Greatest of All Time) has opened to a spectacular opening day at the box office. It grossed around ₹43 crores in India. This includes ₹38.3 crores from the Tamil version, ₹3 crores from the Telugu version, and ₹1.7 crores from the Hindi version. The global collections of the film were also spectacular. It crossed the ₹100 crore mark on the first day itself, making it one of the biggest openings for Tamil films.
The film was released in over 4,000 theatres worldwide and achieved an impressive occupancy rate of 76.23%. Overall, “GOAT” has set the record for the biggest opening for a Tamil film this year, surpassing earlier hits like “Jailer” and “Vikram”.
According to the Indian Express, Gulzar Begum, director of Xgen Studio, said that “GOAT” has been released in more than 500 theatres in the US, 200 in the UK and more than 350 theatres in Europe. Apart from this, the film has also been released in 18 countries in Africa and many other regions. In this way, “GOAT” has impressed everyone with its charm across the world.

The Hindi collections of “GOAT” have come even without a release in major national chains like PVRinox and Cinepolis. The film was not released in these chains as the producers were not willing to hold the Hindi digital release of their film for 8 weeks. The biggest help came from the MovieMax chain, which put in all efforts to make the film’s release a success. On Thursday, “Leo” (Hindi) collected Rs 2.75 crore.
