Munjya Box Office Collection Day 1

As per reports in Sacnilk, the horror-comedy film “Munjya” opened well at the box office and grossed ₹4 crore on the first day. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film stars Abhay Verma as Bittu, Sharvari Wagh as Bela, and Mona Singh as Bittu’s mother Pammi. “Munjya” is the story of Bittu, who returns to his native village and inadvertently releases an angry ghost named Munjya. The story revolves around Bittu and Bela, who go through both funny and scary encounters with the ghost.

Ahead of the film’s release, Sharvari Wagh discussed her character in an interview with news agency ANI. She described her role as a modern girl who strives to achieve her dreams, putting them above everything else, a trait that many viewers can relate to. He added, “His dating life is also quite confusing, many girls can relate to it. Very beautifully written character.”

In a review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave “Munjya” 1.5 stars out of 5. He said the cinematography by Saurabh Goswamy was impressive, but the film did not have enough horror elements to deliver truly scary scenes. Chatterjee said the acting in “Munjya” was not as exaggerated as the story. He praised Abhay Verma’s portrayal of Bittu, a boy struggling to keep his sanity amid the chaos. Mona Singh, Sharvari Wagh, and Suhas Joshi (who plays Bittu’s Ajji, a key character in the Munjya backstory) gave more than adequate performances in a film where the primary focus was not on them.

“Munjya” is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, best known for his popular 2015 Marathi film “Classmates”. Backed by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under the banner of Maddock Films, the film further increases the anticipation and expectations surrounding its release.

Overall, “Munjya” offers a mix of horror and comedy, attracting the audience with its unique storyline and relatable characters. While it does not have the intense horror scenes that horror films usually have, its humor and acting provide a fresh take on the genre, making it an entertaining film. The film’s first-day box office collection reflects a positive reception, indicating a promising performance at the theatres. Since audiences are flocking to watch “Munjya”, it remains to be seen how the film will perform in the days to come.
